Team Training

The focus lies on cooperation and learning in teams. Our team trainings particularly address the requirements of ad-hoc teams, which continuously require members to work in varying constellations. Trainings are always inter-professional (such as OBGYN teams with midwives and obstetric-gynaecologists) and may also be interdisciplinary (such as A&E teams consisting of traumatologists, anaesthesia and nursing staff) depending on the learning objectives. Skills Training

Training purely technical skills can be performed in small groups at special skills stations. During the first training, an experienced mentor instructs the group, while self-guided trainings are possible for more advanced participants.

  • Invasive ventilation of the simulated lung (TestChest)
  • Airway management
  • Heart ultrasound
  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Laparoscopic surgery
  • Lumbar anaestesia techniques
  • Brain-death seminars

Introducing new Methods and Processes

Using simulation, new methods, workflows and processes can be tested and improved without risk to patients prior to implementation in the clinical setting. Particularly in-situ simulations, i.e. simulations at the workstation, are highly suitable for the analysis of processes and workflows.

  • Introduction of checklists and interventions

  • Testing of user friendliness of checklists and interventions

  • Testing of workflows

Instructor Training

Successful learning of participants in simulations strongly relies on the meticulous preparation and implementation of trainings. Designing relevant scenarios, establishing a stimulating yet safe learning atmosphere and facilitating effective debriefings is a core requirement for simulation instructors.

Thanks to our cooperation with international experts in simulation (InPASS Reutlingen), we can offer premium training of instructors at our facility. The InFacT Course comprises two blocks of two days, is highly interactive and communicates the vital basics for the budding instructor in medical simulation. The course takes place in erman.

Core topics:

  • Debriefing techniques

  • Scenario design

  • Patient safety (error culture, human factors)

  • Formulating learning objectives

Courses 2018
InFacT 18/3: 26.+27. September (Part 1) and 24.+25. October (Part 2)

Courses 2019
